Ichikawa’s mouth spontaneously rolls when he sees a young girl with this much beauty, and he ends up calling her “kawaii.” Although it turns out that this girl is Kinoshita’s friend, she also knows about Ichikawa because she asks him directly if he is the guy who Kinoshita mentioned as his elementary school friend.
This girl later in the chapter reveals that she saw Ichikawa in Kinoshita’s yearbook and asks him if he went to a private school after that. When Kinoshita says that instead of a private school, she should say an all-boys school, she is expressing a strong dislike for public school.
