Tyson Fury did what everything envisaged he would but it was by no means a straightforward win for him.
Why the Gypsy King took on the Bronze Bomber in the final fight of the rivalry between the two, Fury was taken to the wire by Deontay Wilder. Fury was required to dwell deep into his repertoire and dig out his entire gustiness and skill set in a bid to down Wilder.
While Fury did eventually end up knocking out Wilder in round 11, there was a point when Wilder was the dominant force in the bout. Despite being knocked down in round 3, Wilder showed immense resolve with him resolute to script a return into the contest.

And he returned with aplomb as he set the T-Arena in Las Vegas alight by knocking down Fury twice in round 4. Wilder’s power packed punches alluded to the powerhouse he is, hits which left Fury knackered as he just about managed to scuttle to the end of the round 4 on his feet.
Ensuing his win, Fury went onto talk about what was going through his mind as he was knocked down and how he had managed to hold fort despite being battered at one point. Fury eventually recovered to clobber Wilder in round 10, a knock down which was followed up by a TKO in round 11 to see him close out the three fight series between him and Wilder 2-0.

Fury managed to successfully defend his WBC heavyweight title with the win, a triumph which extended his unbeaten record. The first showdown between the two had ended in a draw.
