Which age is the explosive character in the anime series and Megumin in KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World

Even if the series is a prologue to the main anime, it says a lot about a character when they can advance from being a party supporter to the main character of their own spin-off adventure. Megumin’s age is currently being questioned due to her coarse humor and outlandish demeanor, so how old is she in KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World?

What is the age of Megumin and voice actor in anime Konosuba spinoff An Explosion On This Wonderful Word

Megumin is 14 years old when the KonoSuba anime first begins, and as An Explosion on This Wonderful World takes place about a year before season 1 of the main series, Megumin is either 12 or 13 at the time. KonoSuba, which is an anime adaptation of the light novel series, began as a web serial in December 2012, then evolved into a light novel format in October 2013, and then a manga version in 2014.

Megumin was 17 years old in the original web series, but it was reportedly decided to make all the main characters younger in order to appeal to a younger audience. This makes sense given that the story was going to be published in Kadokawa Shoten’s Sneaker Bunko magazine.

Thus, the major KonoSuba cast members’ ages in the original online novel series were 20 (Kazuma), 17 (Megumin), and 22 (Darkness). These were modified to about 16, 14, and 18 in the ensuing light novel adaption and anime series.

Takahashi will be reprising her role as Megumin in the upcoming Konosuba spin-off anime series KONOSUBA: An Explosion on This Wonderful World.
