Boris Klaiman, a player for the Volos FC team in the Greek Super League, was arrested in Greece on charges of r(pe and drug possession

Klaiman was arrested at a bar in Athens on Tuesday after a 17-year-old Belgian girl accused him of assaulting her.

Reports say that Klaiman hurt the underage girl after she turned down his advances, which made her classmates attack Klaiman to protect her. People in the bar were shocked to see the Belgians punch Klaiman.

When the police heard about what happened, they caught Klaiman. He was taken to the Syntagma police station, where the victim, who was underage, was able to identify him. There are also rumours that Klaiman, another football player, and four Belgians were among the six people who were taken.

During the arrest, Klaiman was found to have about 1.5 grammes of heroin in a makeshift box. One of the Belgians also had a 15-cm-long folding knife, which police found, but he was later let go.

Volos F.C. drops Boris Klaiman and Rodrigo Escoval following arrest

Volos F.C. released a statement announcing that Boris Klaiman and Rodrigo Escoval would be dropped from the team. “By decision of the president of PAE Volos, Mr. Achilleas Beos, Boris Kleiman and Rodrigo Escoval have been left out of the team, and the process to terminate their contracts has begun. Their managers have already been informed,” the statement said.

It’s not clear what role Escoval played in the incident, but some sources say he was arrested and then let go after a while. Klaiman agreed to play for Volos for two years, from August 2019 to August 2020. Also he has played for Israeli teams and the Israeli national team in the past.
