The victim has been confirmed as 57-year-old Deana Eckert, who was an executive administrative officer at the same bank.
At roughly 8.30 a.m. on Monday, April 10, a fatal gunshot occurred, and after three minutes of the incident, the police arrived and engaged Sturgeon in a gunfight, shooting him.
It was subsequently discovered that Sturgeon had spent three years in a row working as a summer intern with the Old National Bank. He subsequently agreed to a full-time role as a commercial development specialist in June 2021 and was listed as a portfolio banker for the same bank starting in 2022.

Who was Deana Eckert?
Deana Eckert was one of the victims of the heinous shooting that went on at Old National Bank and took five lives in total. Eckert has been in the news because she passed away recently after being shot by Connor Sturgeon.
She was from Harrodsburg, Kentucky. At the time of her death, she was living in New Albany, Indiana. After completing her schooling, she received her degree from Western Kentucky University.
Deana Eckert was married and the mother of two children: one son and one daughter.

Her career
Deana Eckert worked as a retail center manager for the Old National Bank for more than six years before being elevated to the position of the executive administrative officer. According to her LinkedIn page, she formerly served as Alliance Bank’s vice president of operations and HR from 2014 until 2016 and as regional branch operations manager at BB&T from 1991 to 2013.
