‘The Game’ broke the news while also revealing about the success of WrestleMania 39. He hyped up the fans for the upcoming WWE 2023 Draft by stating that the roster shake-up would take place in “a few weeks’ time.”

WWE 2023 Draft date

The WWE Drafts is an event much dreaded by wrestler but highly anticipated by the fans. Following the draft, tag teams can get split up and the titles change brands. With the WWE making plans to host WWE Backlash on May 6, the WWE Draft is also rumored to take place following. According to sources, thee WWE draft date for 2023 is on May 8, in Jacksonville, Florida.

WWE Drafts 2023 expected changes

With WrestleMania 39 making a lot of space for future storylines involving fans can expect several NXT talents to join the main roster call-up. Besides those new faces, several changes of titles in the brands are also expected. Given below are some expected changes in the upcoming WWE Draft 2023:

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

Kevin Owens is currently signed with RAW while his new tag team partner Sami Zayn is a part of SmackDown. However, the duo won their first-ever WWE Tag Team Championship after beating The Usos in WrestleMania 39. As such, in order to keep up with the future storylines, either one of the two will change brands. Moreover, Sami Zayn’s storyline with The Bloodline, and Roman Reigns, has also concluded.

Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair recently lost her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39. As such, fans can expect to see Charlotte drafted to RAW where she will face Bianca Belair for the WWE RAW Women’s Championship. Bianca has also often spoken about facing Charlotte. Thus, a move will put an end to her checklist of facing the WWE Horsewomen.

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre is one of the greatest name for WWE bookings and has been a prominent face for SmackDown. He could however, make a change in the upcoming draft bringing in new competitions for him to gear up his in-ring game.

Damage CTRL

Damage CTRL is a faction closely associated with RAW since its existence. However, the trio lost their tag team titles and they will most likely disband. As such, this will likely cause a change to the blue brand.
