And while Gianluigi Donnarumma wasn’t subjected to racist chants, the goalkeeper wasn’t spared from the fury of the Milan supporters. Returning to the San Siro for the first time since departing AC Milan for PSG, Donnarumma found no love from the home supporters during his country’s UEFA Nations League finals semi-final affair.

Donnarumma was booed right from the opening whistle with his every touch being whistled and booed by the Milan supporters. The home fans were quick to tell the now PSG player what they felt of him with him finding no affinity with any Italian supporter in the stadium.

Donnarumma who had gone onto spurn a slew of contract renewal offers from AC Milan before leaving for PSG on a free was seen distraught after being booed across the tie. The persistent whistling got to the player as he made a raft of shambolic errors on the night along with breaking down at one point.

Things didn’t swing in Donnarumma’s favour during the contest either with the Italians being defeated 2-1 by Spain in the semi-final. The visitors made the most of the man advantage in their favour to hang onto a slim one goal lead in the second half after having scored twice in the first period.
