Kendry Paez made headlines earlier this year after scoring on his debut with the senior side.
Chelsea clear past competition
Paez is a rising talent and clubs from across Europe have been following the youngster with the intention to sign him once he turns 18 in 2025. However, Chelsea moved a step ahead by securing a deal which Paze to clear past competition from other clubs.
According to reports, the deal could be worth up to €20m inclusive of all bonuses. The amount is clearly massive and a record for a player of his age.
Just recently, IDV general manager Santiago Morales revealed that the club were close to agreeing a deal to sell Paez to an unnamed club. Sources have now confirmed that Chelsea are the club that have signed the youngster, securing another huge youth transfer.
Kendry Paez brief bio
Kendry Paez is an Ecuador footballer born in 2007 and is currently only 15-years-old with his height at 1.77m. Paez is currently the latest sensation to come through Independiente del Valle academy. Paez primarily plays as an attacking midfielder but has also featured on several games on the right wing.
The young midfielder has made an impact at both the youth level for club and country. Paez has bagged five assists and scored one goal during his first five appearances for Ecuador’s Under-17 side.
