Know the OTT platform and release date of the web series Mandala Murders
Yash Raj Films aka YRF, India’s preeminent film production and distribution company, announced its streaming arm YRF Entertainment’s first-ever OTT project a while back – a web series titled ‘The Railway Men,’ which is based on the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy.
The series is nearing completion and stars talented actors such as Kay Kay Menon, R Madhavan, Divyenndu, and Babil Khan.

And now, YRF has just announced and launched its second OTT show, titled ‘Mandala Murders,’ which is described as a multi-season, edge-of-your-seat crime thriller series. The month-long filming schedule for the big-budget project will begin this week in Prayagraj, Lucknow, and Varanasi.
Vaani Kapoor will play the lead in the massively produced ‘Mandala Murders’ series, making her OTT debut. Previously, she appeared in films such as ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui,’ ‘Shamshera,’ ‘War,’ and ‘Befikre,’ among others. In pivotal roles, the show will also feature ‘Gullak’ stars Vaibhav Raj Gupta and Jameel Khan, as well as Surveen Chawla.
Gopi Puthran (of ‘Mardaani 2’ fame) will direct the upcoming show ‘Mandala Murders,’ along with Manan Rawat, who has previously worked as an associate director in films such as ‘Samrat Prithviraj,’ ‘Sui Dhaga,’ and ‘Raees,’ among others. Smriti Mundhra’s YRF-based documentary ‘The Romantics,’ which was also produced by YRF Entertainment, was also worked on by the latter.
So far, the projects announced by YRF’s streaming arm sound intriguing and exciting. Aside from ‘Mandala Murder’ and ‘The Railway Men,’ it was previously reported that acclaimed writer Jaideep Sahni (‘Chak De! India’ writer) will create another web series project for YRF Entertainment.
Vaani Kapoor, an actress, is set to make her OTT debut with Mandala Murders, a web series. The series, directed by Gopi Puthran of Mardaani fame, will feature Vaani alongside Vaibhav Raj Gupta.
On March 31, the team will begin filming Mandala Murders in Uttar Pradesh. They will then travel to Delhi and Mumbai to complete the filming. A release date isn’t known as of now.
This multi-season show is part of YRF’s ambitious OTT slate, which already includes the highly anticipated The Railway Men, which is based on the deadly 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy. This series, starring R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyendu, and Babil Khan, is a tribute to the courageous railway workers who saved scores of lives on that fateful night of devastation and horror.
