Former No. 1 overall pick Wiggins struggled in his first few years of professional basketball. The Canadian, though, proved why he was always so highly regarded by becoming an enormously crucial component of the Golden State juggernaut in the NBA Finals of the previous season. For the Warriors, he has been AWOL for a while now. Let’s examine Andrew Wiggins’ current predicament and the reasons why he isn’t playing.
Why Andrew Wiggins is not on the court at this time?
Since February 13, 2023, when they faced the Wizards, Andrew Wiggins has not appeared for the Golden State Warriors. He has been missing due to “family business.” Out of respect for Wiggins and his family’s difficulty, information has been kept extremely quiet. ‘With Wiggins missing his sixth straight game Thursday night, it’s evident that he’s dealing with something significant,’ a senior NBA reporter stated on March 3.
General manager Bob Myers would only state that the team expects to have Wiggins back this season during an interview on 95.7 The Game on Wednesday. When questioned about whether Wiggins would miss the rest of the regular season, Myers responded: “Nobody is planning for that, in my opinion.”
Hopefully, he will say anything he wants to about it when he returns, which we don’t believe will be much given that it concerns his private life.
This season, Wiggins has participated in 37 games. He has a career-best three-point percentage of 39.6 per cent and averages 17.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
The latest update from Steve Kerr
When Wiggins would return was recently a question for the head coach. The “hope” is that Andrew Wiggins returns this season, according to Steve Kerr, but it’s not a guarantee:

Andrew Wiggins’ family
Mitchell Wiggins and Marita Payne-Wiggins are parents of Andrew Wiggins. His dad was a former NBA player. Moreover, the Golden State star has five siblings. Mitchell Jr. and Nicholas, two of his older brothers, both participated in college basketball.
Nicholas Wiggins played for the NBA G League’s Idaho Stampede (now the Salt Lake City Stars), while Mitchell Jr. competed for Southeastern University. In 2014, the Harlem Globetrotters selected them both. Stephanie, Angelica, and Taya are Wiggins’ other three sisters.
