The Misfit of Demon King Academy S2, episode 7 delayed, restarts July
Sequel series, such as Vinland Saga, Tokyo Revengers, My Hero Academia, Bungo Stray Dogs, DanMachi, and The Misfits of Demon King School, have dominated the 2023 winter anime schedule.
Unfortunately, we haven’t watched much of the latter series lately because it was confirmed online that the anime’s upcoming episode will be delayed.
According to reports, the show will resume in July 2023.

The anime has subsequently been postponed in Japan, but the second season, episode 7, of The Misfit of Demon King Academy was initially scheduled to debut on Saturday, February 18.
The new episode will not be available on any foreign streaming services, such as Crunchyroll. The production team’s growing number of COVID-19 cases has caused a delay in The Misfit of Demon King Academy season 2 episode 7.
The official announcement was made on the series’ official Japanese website. It read, “We have chosen to delay the broadcast and distribution of episodes 7 and beyond due to the impact of the new coronavirus COVID-19.”
The Series Is Set To Resume In July 2023
On and following February 18 in Japan, the first six episodes of Season 2 will be restarted. This is to bring fresh assurance that the anime will in fact resume in July 2023. The anime restart’s exact release date is still unknown, so viewers probably won’t see the postponed episode 7 until late August.
The Effect Of The Episode’s Delay
Even though The Misfits of Demon King Academy season 2 has received a generally positive response from fans, the ongoing delay is negatively affecting the show’s ratings on numerous user-based review websites.
The second adventure of the series is now rated a disappointing 7.09/10 on MyAnimeList as of March 25, which is significantly lower than the first season’s rating of 7.38/10 from 2020.
Sites like Anilist and Anime Planet, where the series is rated at 71% and 3.7/5, respectively—both significantly lower than the season 1 figure—show comparable ratings.
