Soccer AM, a favourite of Sky Sports viewers, is scheduled to end after the current season. Soccer AM has been essential to their coverage of football for the past three decades.

According to a report in The Sun this morning, the cherished Sky Sports program will be axed after the current season after more than 30 years on the air.

With ten episodes left, the producers have chosen to cancel the program.

It won’t go through to the Champions League final and will end on the last weekend of the season.

The program’s tenure would be coming to an end, the staff was informed on Tuesday.

Upon its end, they were also told that they will be laid off.

A source told The Sun:

“It was a complete bombshell.

“Morale is at an all-time low, they are raging.

“It’s going to be an interesting watch over the next few weeks.”

In 1995, Soccer AM made its debut and enjoyed incredible initial success.

Numerous well-known figures from the sports, music, and television industries attended.

Max Rushden, Andy Goldstein, Helen Chamberlain, and Tim Lovejoy were some of the previous Soccer AM hosts that enjoyed great success with the show.

When will the final episode of Soccer AM be released?

The final episode of SOCCER AM will air on Saturday, May 27. The time has not been revealed yet.

Who presents Soccer AM?

The current hosts are former football player Jimmy Bullard and John Fendley.

Both hosts are reportedly “fuming” with the news of the day, according to reports.

The program was first presented by Helen Chamberlin and Russ Williams.

In 1996, Tim Lovejoy finally joined Helen, and the two went on to develop a priceless bond.

Lovejoy departed the show in 2007 after 11 years on the job, while Chamberlin hosted Soccer AM up until 2017.

Former Soccer AM host Lovejoy talked with The Athletic in 2020 about his role with the show. He told that he stopped watching the show soon after he departed the show as it was “too hard to watch it.”
