For those unversed, let us tell you, Social media platform Twitter is flooded with rumors where users are claiming that Perkins has been fired. One such user, who posted an image of Kendrick wrote that “Kendrick Perkins has been let go by ESPN.”
The account has tagged a report saying it was of @TMZ_Sports.

However, allegations that ESPN fired Kendrick Perkins are false.
The offending tweet was sent by ‘The NBA Cantral,’ a parody account of the reputable and well-followed NBA handle, The NBA Central.
This satirical account has the same profile picture as The NBA Central, making the content it spreads appear more credible.
It is, however, a parody account that promotes fake content in order to deceive many online fans.
This is just the most recent example. It comes just days after it misled fans into thinking LeBron wanted to be traded by the Lakers.
Perkins doesn’t mince his words. He recently made claims on First Take about the NBA MVP voting system and the fact that Nuggets center Nikola Jokic was the frontrunner at the time.
Since the early 1990s, there have been three MVP winners who finished outside the top scorers’ list, and all of them have been white, according to Perkins.
Redick took issue with Kendrick’s remarks and called him out on the air. A video which was posted earlier on March 7, captioned “Things got heated between JJ Redick and Kendrick Perkins,” showed this clearly.
