The beef between Dana White and Oscar De La Hoya has escalated after they lashed out at each other on Twitter
As Alexander Volkanovski defeated Brian Ortega in UFC 266 by unanimous decision, boxer Oscar De La Hoya was quick to get on Twitter to comment on the slugfest.
One of the most intriguing fights of 2021, the showdown between Alexander and Ortega made for an intoxicating brew. However, Oscar decided to not comment on the riveting nature of the skirmish but rather have a go at Dana White as the feud between the two took a new turn.
Dana White Terms Oscar De La Hoya As A Crackhead Over UFC Fighter Pay
Oscar slammed Dana for the amount he was paying Alexander, one he believed was 1/20th of what the UFC featherweight champion was worth. Berating White for his scanty payment, the boxer asked the UFC supremo to loosen his frugal pockets and shell out the amount required to his fighters.
However, Dana White was in no mood to take things lying down and sweep things under the mat. Replying to Oscar, an irked Dana went onto claim Oscar had faked getting COVID-19 in a bid to escape squaring off against Vitor Belfort. Oscar was scheduled to take on the previous heavyweight champion before he had withdrawn from the fight after contracting COVID with Evander Holyfield filling in for him.

The beef between Dana White and Oscar De La Hoya had first began when the boxer had slammed the showdown between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather. While White had promoted the matchup with all his heart owing to the money it was raking in, Oscar had called it a comedy circus, one which was a blot on the world of boxing.
