Brooklyn Nets’ Kyrie Irving is yet to receive even the first dose of his COVID vaccine and could end up missing out on his team’s opening home games in NBA 2022

Despite the pandemic wrecking havoc in the country under both the bygone and current regime, there are people who refuse to get in line. From flouting COVID norms, not wearing masks to refusing to get vaccinated, a petulant part of the society has hindered the country’s fight against successfully keeping the disease at bay.
The callous attitude adopted by manifold people has seen states come up with stringent guidelines in a bid to ensure that the ongoing wave doesn’t disrupt an already battered healthcare system.
Kyrie Irving Yet To Get COVID-19 Vaccine Ahead Of NBA 2022
Regulations in New York City, ones backed by the NBA prohibit players of Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors from participating in games, practices or unspecified team activities unless theyāve received at least one of the two vaccines from Pfizer or Moderna. And while Sean Marks had only a couple of days earlier stated that he was confident that his team would meet the requisite standards ahead of opening night, its being reported that a string of players from the team are yet to receive their first dose.
The most notable of those names is of Kyrie Irving with Yaron Wetizman of FOX Sports going onto reveal that Irving was unvaccinated at the moment.
“According to multiple league sources, Irving has yet to receive a vaccine shot. Both the Nets and a spokeswoman for Irving declined to comment on the record,” Yaron said.
Irving stands at risk of missing out on the Nets’ home games with the team having its first training camp on Tuesday at the University of San Diego with the side returning to Brooklyn after its October 3 game against Los Angeles Lakers in Los Angeles.
