Jean Pascal brief career bio

Jean Pascal was a two-time gold medalist as an amateur and later turned pro in 2005. Pascal went on to have a 21-bout unbeaten streak, which ended at the hands of Carl Froch in 2008. He then beat Adrian Diaconu for the WBC light-heavyweight title in 2009 and later won the IBO and The Ring belts the following year.

Pascal lost the belts to Bernard Hopkins in 2011, following which he continued his quest for another title. The 40-year-old failed to beat Sergey Kovalev and Dmitry Bivol, but beat Marcus Browne for the interim WBA light-heavyweight title. The title was later promoted to “Regular” champion and he retained the belt that same year against Badou Jack.

After failing a drug test, Pascal returned to beat Meng Fanlong in May 2022. The upcoming fight against Eifert was initially supposed to take place on February 9. However, Pascal recently tested positive for COVID-19 and so had to delay.

Michael Eifert

Meanwhile, Michael Eifert is a 25-year-old up and coming boxer who turned pro in 2018. Following a loss against Tom Dzemski back in 2020, Eifert has bounced back to win five fights in a row. His last bout was a unanimous decision win against Adriano Sperandio back in July.
