2023 Pathum Thani Six-red World Championship snooker Un-Nooh vs Ding Junhui final match events, score, & summary
Every ball that Un-Nooh hit was cheered by the home audience, and when he closed the gap to 5-4, he sent them into raptures. Sadly for Un-Nooh, he accidentally potted the pink while evading a snooker, and Ding cleared the colors to move 7-4 ahead. Un-Nooh won the tense 12th frame on the pink, and he increased the pressure by winning the next with a break of 41 to make the score 7-6. Ding, though, won the 14th frame under his control to earn six red glory and cross the finish line.
Now ranked 24th in the world, Ding will need to compete in the World Championship qualifying round in order to attend the Crucible. Un-Nooh, who was also hoping to win the competition a second time after winning it in 2015, is defeated, which is a devastating finish to his campaign.
