Jim Boeheim left the college basketball world in shock as he announced his retirement as the Syracuse head coach after spending the last 47 years on the role.

During his time with Syracuse Boeheim won 35 NCAA tournament appearances, five Final Fours and the 2003 national championship.
He also finishes his coaching career with the second place on the NCAA Division I menโs basketball wins list. He recorded 1,015 wins and is just behind former Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski.
Adrian Autry brief bio and career
Adrian Autry is the recently hired head coach of Syracuse. He is the schoolโs first, new menโs head basketball coach ever since 1976, and also the first African-American head coach ever since the basketball program started in Syracuse.
The 51-year-old is a former point guard who played at Syracuse from 1990-94. During his time there, Autry led the Orange in assists across all of his four seasons. In fact, he currently ranks fifth in career assists (631) and sixth in career steals (217) for Syracuse.
Despite his success in Syracuse, Autry went undrafted in the NBA. However, he played overseas across Europe in Turkey, Germany, Italy, France, Siberia, Belgium and more. He retired from his playing career back in 2005 and since then returned to the States to start coaching. Following his return, Autry first worked as the associate head coach for Bishop Ireton Catholic High School in Alexandria, Virginia.
Autry then joined Syracuse as an assistant coach during the 2011-12 season. He has since served as the teamโs associate head coach ever since 2017.
Adrian Autry wife and children
Adrian Autry is currently married to his wife Andrea, and the couple have four children together. They have two sons named Adrian Jr. and Trey, and two daughters, named Aliyah and Nina. The whole family currently resides in Jamesville.
Both Aliyah and Adrian Jr. graduated from Syracuse in 2017 and 2019 respectively. Although Adrian is not on social media, his son, Adrian Jr, is active on social media and constantly shares photos with his parents.
