She was born on December 1, 2000, in Grünwald, Germany. However, she was raised in Munich. Her father’s name is Alexander Flörsch, and her mother’s name is Susanne Flörsch-Painhofer.

She did her schooling at Oberhaching Grammar School in Pullach.

Her height is 5 feet 8 inches or 173 cm, and her weight is 65 kg or 143.5 lbs. She is currently 22 years old.

Her career

In 2005, Sophia Flörsch started her motorsport career in karting. Since then, she has participated in events like the Ginetta Junior Championship, ADAC Formula 4, FIA Formula 3 European Championship, and FIA Formula 3 Championship.

She created history in 2015 by winning two races in a row as a rookie and being the youngest driver to win a Ginetta Junior race. Additionally, she became the first female driver to gain points in her ADAC Formula 4 Championship debut race.

Sophia Flörsch raced in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship in 2018 and also took part in the Macau Grand Prix, where she was involved in a horrific accident that left her with a fractured spine.

In the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship season, she made a comeback and competed for Campos Racing, making history as the first woman to compete in the series since its inception. Out of 35 drivers, Sophia Flörsch came in 29th place overall.
