Unfortunately, a football fan who was hospitalised after a fight between Blackpool and Burnley supporters on Saturday following their 0-0 stalemate has died.

Blackpool has confirmed the passing of supporter Tony Johnson, who was involved in a post-game altercation with Burnley supporters.
Mr Johnson, a man in his fifties, was harmed during the brawl and required CPR from paramedics on Saturday (March 4) evening outside The Manchester Pub. He died after being hurriedly transported to the hospital.
A club statement read:
Blackpool FC is deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the news that supporter, Tony Johnson, tragically lost his life earlier this morning.”
The club statement further read that, to allow fans to express their condolences for Tony, the club will open a book of condolences in the Moretti Lounge at 4 p.m.
Fans are invited to place flowers at the Mortensen Statue behind the North Stand today at 4 p.m. with the club’s representatives and players. This will enable everyone associated with the football team to unite and pay tribute to a longtime Seasider.
All of the thoughts of everyone at the football club go out to Tony’s family and friends. Rest in peace, Tony.”
The incident occurred at 7 o’clock, a few hours after Blackpool and Burnley drew without scoring at Bloomfield Road.
There were apparently roughly 15 people involved, and Mr Johnson reportedly suffered a serious head injury.
CPR was conducted before the patient was taken to the hospital, and a 33-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of causing injuries.
An unaffiliated fans’ club called The Armfield Club responded to the news of his passing by saying:
Tony was Blackpool through and through, and one of the best friends ever likely to cross your path in life. Devastated is an understatement.”
Burnley football club also showed their condolences for the passing of the fan.
They stated that the early-morning death of 55 year old Tony Johnson, a supporter of Blackpool, shocked and devastated Burnley Football Club. In this struggling time, the club wished his family, friends, and the entire Blackpool Football Club well.
He belonged to The Muckers, a football fan group of Blackpool.
