Alex Canchari, a jockey who had won more than 1,000 races and made more than £23 million on the track, died suddenly at the age of 29, know his cause of death
He left behind a wife and two children who were devastated by his death. In a sad Facebook post on Thursday morning, Canchari’s sister Ashley said that he had died.

Alex Canchari, whose youngest daughter Penelope had just turned 2, was a huge hit and was known as a real fan favourite. He raced a lot at the track in Minnesota called Canterbury Park. His oldest child will turn four soon.
Canchari’s death, which happened less than a month after the 23-year-old death of another US rider, Avery Whisman, has not been explained.

Whisman had been “struggling for a long time with the constant physical and mental demands that riders face.” Mike Smith, a famous jockey, was one of the people who paid tribute to his “little brother.”
Alex Canchari’s family and friends are sad about his tragic death. The CEO and head of the Jockeys’ Guild, Terry Meyocks, said: “It’s extremely sad. That family has been through so much the last three years.” Canchari’s older brother Patrick was seriously hurt in a car accident in March 2020, and his father Luis, with whom the jockey was said to be “extremely close,” died in December 2020.

Alex Canchari quickly proved himself to be a good jockey, and over the course of his career, he won several riding titles at different tracks. In 2013, he was given the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Apprentice Jockey, which is a big deal. Canchari kept riding well until he died unexpectedly in March 2023.
