NFL Set To Play Black National Anthem “Lift Every Voice And Sing” At Every Game This Season

The black national anthem, Lift Every Voice and Sing will be a feature at the start of every NFL game in the 2021 season

Played before the first game of the season, Lift Every Voice and Sing was said to be only blared across the concourses at select games. However, a string of reports have now gone onto suggest towards the black national anthem becoming a regular feature at every game in the NFL 2021 season.

NFL To Stick With Black National Anthem For The Remainder Of The Season

The song which was sang by Alicia Kings in the season opener will be played at the start of every game as the NFL strives to throw its weight behind the Black Lives Matter movement in the country. The NFL has over the years weighed in on social matters with it pledging $250 million to a string of organisations and charities.

The decision to keep the black national anthem is set to rake up a debate in the country with a section of the society irked with the increasing continuation of the BLM movement. Whilst the movement deserves to come to light, a slew of unsavory incidents carried out by the protesters over the last couple of years have gone unnoticed including when they decided to torch up shops, cars and public property in the country.

The movement also took a political turn with it gaining steam during the bygone regime in the United States with it going off the boil once Joe Biden was elected as the President. There’s been an appalling silence in the country’s media outlets over the horrid COVID mismanagement and Taliban crisis in Afghanistan.
