Formula 1 Drivers 2022: Yuki Tsunoda & Pierre Gasly Sign Contract Extension With Alpha Tauri

Gasly was demoted from RedBull and rejoined Alpha Tauri in 2020 after a disappointing campaign. However, his fortunes took a u-turn at Alpha Tauri as he secured his first-Ever Grand Prix win at Monza last year.

After months of speculations surrounding the future of the French driver, he has put pen to paper on a new 1-year deal with Alpha Tauri. Meanwhile, Red Bull were seriously considering him for the seat of Sergio Perez but felt that Gasly needs more time to mature in Formula 1.

Yuki Tsunoda was unsure whether or not if he will be in Formula 1 and his chances were really slim. But, no competition from young drivers of F2 and F3 has enabled him to participate in next year’s Formula 1 Championship with Alpha Tauri.
