After Nikita Krylov became ill and had to withdraw from his Light Heavyweight match against Ryan Spain, the Middleweight bout featuring Brendan Allen vs. Andre Muniz took the center stage at UFC Vegas 70 on Saturday night. Meanwhile, Don’Tale Mayes was defeated by Augusto Sakai in the co-main event through unanimous decision. Tatiana Suarez had a strong comeback after nearly 3.5 years on the sidelines and defeated Montana De La Rosa in round two with an excellent guillotine choke.

Sakai began his UFC career with four straight victories before suffering four straight losses by KO/TKO. His UFC career might have finished with one more loss, but following his unanimous decision victory over Don’Tale Mayes, he was given a fresh start in the ring. In contrast, Allen broke Andre Muniz’s nine-fight winning streak by choking him out in the third round of the redesigned main event, giving him his fourth straight victory.
