Angela Akins is the daughter of Marty Akins who gained name and fame during his college as a football player with Texas Longhorns during the 1970s and later on transitioned to a political career. Angela is also recognized for being a granddaughter of Ray Akins who was a High School Football Hall of Fame in Texas, and he has marked over 302 wins in almost 37 seasons of his coaching career.
At an early age, she learned how to play golf and developed a passion for it. She continued playing and also improved her craft in sports. While she was attending high school, she won 10 tournaments in a short span of time.
Angela attended Marble Falls High School and she was the team captain of the school’s golf team this helped out her team to get third place during the 2003 regional competition. Angela has earned around 17 medals in the national championships and she became a Women’s Texas Golf Association Amateur Champion.
