Wallace crashed into a number of Gators supporters who were watching from courtside as he hustled for a lost ball on the sidelines. As Wallace recovered to re-enter the court, two of the spectators looked to grasp hold of his shirt and waist, while a third appeared to be pointing at the court when his arm caught around Wallace’s neck.

Unacceptable.

As officials examined the exchange, all three were swiftly ejected from the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. Wallace didn’t engage the spectators, but the Kentucky bench promptly requested and received a review. One of the spectators waved his arms to the mass as they were escorted out.
Although all three of the fans were ejected, the situation could have been far worse. It’s a risky play that might have hurt Wallace. Violence is never the solution, but it would be understandable if Wallace reacted by physically defending himself in a way that hurt a fan, made things worse, or resulted in a suspension. However, Wallace did well to ignore the pulling. He simply continued to ball.
Mr consistent Cason Wallace
Wallace had a difficult game against Florida, going 2-of-7 from the field and committing six more turnovers than assists. Wallace has been one of Kentucky’s finest players all season, and he will need to be on the court if the Wildcats are to have any chance of going far in the tournament. The rookie is making a difference with his steady defence at the point of attack, scoring 11.7 points, 4.1 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.9 steals a game while shooting 35.1 per cent from outside the arc.
