As per media reports, Julia Faustyna aka Julia Wendell and Julia Wandelt, started posting videos and images of herself online while expressing the possibility that she might be Kate and Getty McCann’s missing daughter.
The couple’s daughter went missing in Portugal back in May 2007 when she was 3 years old. The family of the girl have come forward as they asked for a DNA test as Wandelt gained notoriety on social media for claiming to resemble her parents.
Who is Julia Wandelt?
For those who are curious, let us tell you, Julia who’s a 21-year-old recently came into lime-light when the Polish woman claimed herself as the British girl who went missing in 2007 while on vacation with her family in Portugal.
Several media debates referred to her as “Julia Faustyna,” while other called her Julia Wendell and Julia Wandelt. The teenager came into the spotlight after she opened an account on Instagram with the handle @iammadeleinemccann and claimed to have a freckle on her leg and speck in her eye in the same place as Madeleine resembling to same mission girl’s parents.
The Polish girl claimed that she start questioning her identity a few months ago, after hearing something from her grandmother. Although she claimed that she is 21 year old, but she also believes that her age is incorrect.
Now coming back to Madeleine, she was born in May 2003 so she would be 19 years old by now. In her Instagram bio, Julia said she believes that she is Madeleine but she needs a DNA test to confirm her identity.
After the 3-year-okd McCann disappeared from Portugal, it triggered an international investigation, with Portuguese authorities leading the initial investigation.
However, the missing girl was never found and the case remains unsolved till day. The McCann family has kept looking for their daughter and has collaborated with several organizations to raise awareness and funds for her search.
