Kedarnath Temple’s kapat will open to devotees at 6:20 a.m. on April 25. The announcement was made by the Badrinath-Kedarnath Mandir Samiti. BKTC (Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee) President Ajendra Ajay said, “The date of the opening of the doors of Kedarnath is established every year on the festival of Shivratri in the programme organised at Omkareshwar Temple, which is the winter worship location of Baba Kedar.”

The procedure includes the Mahabhishek Puja, followed by the offering of bhog after God has been bathed and dressed. After this, the Vedpathi Panchag announces the day that Kedarnath Dham’s doors shall open. Along with this, a timetable for Baba Kedar’s idol’s journey from Ukhimath to Kedarnath was also decided.

The Process Of Registration Of Kedarnath Yatra 2023

To visit the temple, devotees can register both online and offline. For offline registration, there are several registration counters situated along the Chardham Yatra route. Online registration can be done at https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in/

Online Process for Registration

1) Visit the Chardham Yatra Registration website: www.registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in 

2) Select the option “Register/Login and fill out the form.

3) OTPs will be sent via SMS and email to verify the registration in the Chardham Online Registration System.

4) Log in with your registered mobile number and password.

5) You will be taken to a personalised dashboard; then click on Add or Manage Pilgrims or Tourists to open the window.

6) Fill in the required details, like “Tour type,” “Tour name,” “Dates of Yatra,” and “Number of tourists,” and add each destination along with your travel dates.

7) Once done, save the form.

7) A unique registration number will be sent via SMS.

8) Download the registration letter for travelling to Chardham Yatra.

The best time to visit the temple is May, June, July, August, September, October, and November.
