Mayilsamy’s family and education
In late 2009, Mayilsamy declared that his son Arumainayagam is ready to act in movies, and gave him the stage name of Anbu. Anbu was set to make his debut in early 2011 with Rasu Madhuravan’s Parthom Pazhaginom opposite Joshna Fernando, but the movie was shelved soon after its launch.
Anbu, later on, started working on a film titled Andha 60 Naatkal by Rajasekhar in 2015 which was a fantasy comedy co-starring Chandrika, but the film eventually did not release. In 2018, Anbu then tried again and started work on Alti directed by M. F. Hussain, appearing along with Manisha Jith, and on Chidambaram Railway Gate opposite Neeraja.
On 13th September 2019, Anbu married Aishwarya who is the daughter of K. Pitchandi. Mayilsamy was married to Shantha. He did his schooling in a school in his hometown. He also has a son named Yuvan.

Mayilsamy was famous and a veteran of television in the South Indian entertainment industry. He was well known for his comic timing and he was mostly seen playing strong supporting character roles in the Tamil daily soaps and in Tamil films too. Mayilsamy was also an acclaimed stage performer, standup comedian, television host, and theatre artist.
Mayilsamy was multifaceted and a multitalented personality of the Tamil television industry. Mayilsamy got involved in different stage performances and in the theatres from his early childhood days and he performed and traveled across the state of Tamil Nadu with a local famous comedy troupe. He has also had a series of standup comedy releases among which “Sirippoo Sirrippu” got a special mention.
Mayilsamy made his debut on Tamil television being a host and judge of the famous comedy show Asathapovathu Yaaru which was aired on Sun TV.

Unfortunately, Mayilsamy died in his hometown Chennai on the 19th of February 2023 due to a cardiac arrest.
