In the Masterchef India audition, Nayanjyoti Saikia was presented by Chef Vikas Kanna. During the Masterchef audition, Nayan Jyoti presented a dish which was named choux au craquelin and it was made with milk chocolate ganache with lime curd filling and dry chocolate cake. Judge Ranveer Brar was quite impressed with his presentation of the dish.
MasterChef contestant Nayanjyoti Saikia completed his graduation from the Gyan Vigyan Academy, Dibrugarh College in early 2014. When Nayanjyoti was in college, he realized that he wanted to do something further in the field of cooking, but due to a lack of support from his family, he could not complete his dream of opening a restaurant. NayanJyoti’s height is 5 ft 6 inches and his weight is approximately 56 kg as of 2023.

Format of the show
MasterChef India has initial rounds which consist of numerous contestants from all across India individually auditioning by presenting dishes before three judges who gain one of 50 semi-final places. All the semi-finalists have competed in numerous challenges which have tested their food knowledge and preparation skills.
In Seasons 1 and 2, the top 50 competed until 12 were left on the list, with 12 finally progressing to the main stage of the show. The winner competes for the prize which includes their own cookery show, the chance of having their own cookbook published, and also will get ₹ 1,00,00,000 cash prize.
