The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office released a statement stating that Nashali Alma, 24, was attacked by Xavier Thomas-Jones on January 22 while she was frequently exercising in the gym at the Inwood Park Apartment Complex in Tampa.
Despite the attacker’s attempts to victimize another lady, Nashali boldly defended herself against him without cringing in fear, leading to the attacker’s capture. According to several reports, the attacker attacked Alma because he wanted to rape her.

Subsequently, she went on to earn an associate’s degree in applied science (veterinary technology) at the College of Central Florida. Additionally, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Rasmussen University.
