Annette Lerner wife of Ted Lerner
Annette Lerner was the wife of Ted Lerner and the mother of his three children. Although there is not much information available about her, she was known for being a supportive wife and the driving force behind her husband Ted Lernerโs success.
In fact, Ted Lerner was able to set up his empire after initially borrowing some money from his Annette. Back in 1952, when Ted was just 26 years old, he borrowed $250 from his wife Annette. He used the money to start a real estate business, which promoted homes for builders. Little did he know that he would be worth billions today.
The couple are also active supporters of numerous philanthropic projects and charity. Some of the organizations that the couple donate to are Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Food and Friends, Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, and Hadleyโs Park. While her DOB isn’t known, she is aged between 90-95 years.
Marriage
Annette amd Ted Lerner got married in the year 1951. They have three kids: Mark D. Lerner, Marla Lerner Tanenbaum, and Debra Lerner Cohen.
Ted Lerner
Ted Lerner was a real estate magnate, born in 1925, a year after the Washington Senators won the World Series. As a young boy, he was a big fan of the team and worked as an usher at Griffith Stadium. He did this since he wanted to watch them play but could hardly rarely afford the tickets.
Later in 1952, just a year after his marriage, he founded Lerner Enterprises. The company has since grown to become the largest private real estate developer in the Washington, D.C., region. To put things into perspective, Lerner Enterprises have constructed over 20,000 homes ever since it was founded.
Lerner purchased the Washington Nationals for $450 million in 2006, almost entirely with his own funds. Much to the surprise of everyone, the franchise won their first World Series title in 2019.
