The WPL 2023 Auction saw the five teams buy 87 players, with Smriti Mandhana as the most expensive player.

The inaugural edition of the (WPL) 2023 will feature five franchises — Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capitals (DC), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Gujarat Giants (GG), and UP Warrioz (UPW).

The inaugural season of the WPL 2023 is scheduled to take place from 4-26 March. All the 22 matches of the competition will take place at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai and the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
