A 42-year-old Utah man is making headlines for murdering his seven family members and killing himself, know who is Michael Haight of Allstate Insurance
For those who are unversed, let us tell you, Michael Haight, who two weeks after his wife filed a divorce, fatally shot 7 of his family members including his mother, wife, and 5 kids who ranged from 4 to 17 years.
After killing all of his family members, the 42-year-old pulled the trigger on himself.

As per the official court documents, five days before doing the crime, the man conducted online searches on how loud certain guns sound and whether one’s neighbors could hear the gunshots.
Who is Michael Haight?
As per the statement revealed by authorities in Enoch City on Thursday, February 9, a man who allegedly shot his family and attempted suicide was identified to be 42-year-old Michael Haight.
The alleged shooter has shot dead his 40-year-old wife, Tausha Haight, who had filed for a divorce. Apart from shooting his wife, the alleged killer had shot his three daughters aged between 17, 12, and 7, and two sons aged between 7 and 4.
As per another statement by the administration of Enoch City Tausha’s mother, Gail Earl, who was 78 years old was also murdered by Michael.
Each of his family members appeared to have sustained gunshot wounds. As aforesaid, Michael’s wife, Tausha filed for a divorce on December 21, 2022.
However, as of now it is not clear why she wanted to end her relationship with Michael. The police reached their home, after hearing from their worried family and friends who weren’t able to contact the victims.
The police dispatched officers to investigate the well-being of Haight’s family on Wednesday. After reaching their home, the investigators discovered all the family members’ bodies inside their house.
As per a statement of the police given in a press release by the department, “At this time, we do not believe there is a threat to the public or that there are any suspects at large.”
Michael, who was listed as an Allstate Insurance agent working out of Cedar City, Utah had reportedly quit his position days before the murder-suicide.
