He described how the then-head coach Ravi Shastri intervened to resolve the conflict, referring to the division as one between the “Rohit camp” and the “Virat camp.”

Who is Ramakrishnan Sridhar?

Ramakrishnan Sridhar is a well-known former Indian cricketer and former fielding coach of the Indian cricket team. He has been in the news because, in his book, he opened up about the rift between the Indian cricket team.

In 2007, he finished a three-level program to become a qualified coach.

He is commonly known as R. Sridhar. He was born on July 16, 1970, in Mysore, Mysore State, India. He is married, however, nothing much is known about his spouse. He has a daughter named Ananya Shridhar, who is currently pursuing her studies at Coventry University.

He is currently 52 years old.

His career

For Hyderabad, Ramakrishnan Sridhar was a front-line spinner. He participated in 35 first-class games and 15 List-A games for Hyderabad between 1989/90 and 2000/01. In 2001, following the conclusion of his playing career, he started a coaching career.

He coached the Hyderabad Under-19 squad for three years, from 2007 to 2011, and the Hyderabad Under-16 team for one year. He joined the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore in 2011. In 2011, he was then named the India Under-19 cricket team’s fielding coach.

He assisted the head coach in February 2014 as the India Under-19 squad competed in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. He was hired as the club’s fielding coach in April 2014 by the IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab. He was chosen to lead the Andhra cricket team for two years in July 2014.

He was appointed as the India national cricket team’s fielding coach for the ODI series against England in August. The BCCI made the decision to extend his tenure as the team’s fielding coach following the completion of the ODI series. Additionally, he served as the Tripura Cricket Association’s head coach.

He also serves as a commentator on a part-time basis. He is also a co-founder of Coaching Beyond, a cricket academy founded by Ravi Shastri.
