A 45-year-old Headteacher of Epsom College, Emma Pattison was tragically found dead alongside her husband George Edward and their 7-year-old daughter, Lettie, in the early hours of Sunday
In a statement the Surrey Police revealed that sadly at around 1 am on Sunday, February 5, 2023, they discovered the dead bodies of Epsom College Head and her family after they were called to the school grounds.
The authorities were dispatched to the boarding school after they received a call from South East Coast Ambulance service.

The bodies of a headteacher, her husband, and her young daughter have been found dead at Epsom College, the fee-paying independent school in Surrey where she worked. Emma Pattinson, 45, had worked at the school for five months, previously serving as headteacher at Croydon High.

As per a report by BBC, the investigators revealed that the case is being investigated as an “isolated incident with no third-party involvement.”
Who was Emma Pattison’s husband?
For those who are curious about Pattison’s husband, let us tell you, the head of the college was found dead alongside her 39-year-old husband, whose full name is George Edward Pattison.
He was born in March 1983 and used to work as a chartered accountant. Prior to becoming the CA, he had served the position of Director of a management consultancy firm, Tanglewood.
As per Companies House, George was appointed the director of the firm on October 26, 2016.
The family of three lived in a property on the grounds of Epsom College with their dog Bella.
If you’re wondering more about Pattison, let us tell you, the mother of a 7-year-old daughter was appointed as Head in September 2022 after serving as the head of Croydon High School between 2016 to 2022.
As per her LinkedIn page, Emma worked as the deputy head at St John School in Leatherhead from 2012 and 2016.
Emma completed a degree in French and English Literature at the University of Leeds. Later she earned a PGCE in secondary education and teaching from the University of Warwick.
The authorities are currently investigating the cause of their death. As per Emma’s earlier conversation, when she joined the Epsom, she described her experience “I am delighted and honoured to have been appointed head of Epsom College.”
She further added, “It is a school I have long admired, with an enviable reputation, and George and I can’t wait to meet the pupils, parents and staff and to become part of this wonderful community.”
Our deepest condolences are with the family and friends of Emma Pattison and George Edwards. May their departed souls rest in peace! A cause of death isn’t known as of yet but the police are ruled out foul play.
