After recovering from a 5-3 deficit to force the decider, Lisowski had the first chance to triumph after constructing a break of 52 to put himself in a commanding position. But, Tom Ford managed to beat Jack Lisowski 6-5 and qualify for the BetVictor German Masters final in Berlin despite the tense final frame. Following this victory, Ford will face Ali Carter in the Sunday’s final for an opportunity to win the Brandon Parker Trophy and the top prize of £80,000.
In this afternoon’s semi-final, Milkins got off to the best start after winning a 32-minute tactical struggle in the third-fame to take a 2-1 lead. Milkins secured the fourth-frame to bag 3-1 lead ahead of the afternoon break. However, Carter played at his very best after the break and dropped breaks of 72, 67, 133, & 83 to take 5-3 lead and move within one frame of victory. Although Milkins managed to force a decider after winning to won consecutive frames, he came up short in the final frame as Carter clinched victory to qualify for the championship match.
