Co-promoted and exclusively marketed by India’s leading sports marketing firm named Baseline Ventures, the RuPay Prime Volleyball League is all set to kick off its new season this February.
The Mumbai Meteors, the eighth franchise in the Prime Volleyball League (PVL), have been purchased by the digital payments company PhonePe, who has joined the league as an investor.

Volleyball World, the commercial arm of the international volleyball governing body (Fédération Internationale de Volley Ball, FIVB), has teamed up with PVL as the international streaming partner in a multiyear partnership for season two, which is scheduled to begin this month, February.
Acting superstar Vijay Deverakonda has become a co-owner of the Hyderabad Black Hawks team in the RuPay Prime Volleyball League 2023 as well.
When and where is Prime Volleyball League 2023 starting?
From February 4 to March 5, three cities, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kochi, will host the second season of the Prime Volleyball League.
On February 4 in Bengaluru, PVL season 2 will begin with a matchup between the hosts Bengaluru Torpedoes and the reigning champions Kolkata Thunderbolts.

Kolkata Thunderbolts defeated Ahmedabad Defenders with a score of 15-13, 15-10, and 15-12 in the inaugural season.

24 games were played in the RuPay Prime Volleyball League powered by A23’s debut season, according to an official announcement. The league is co-promoted and solely marketed by sports marketing company Baseline Ventures.
A total of 133 million people watched the league on television, with commentary available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, or Malayalam.
Prime Volleyball League teams
Calicut Heroes, Kochi Blue Spikers, Ahmedabad Defenders, Hyderabad Black Hawks, Chennai Blitz, Bengaluru Torpedoes, Kolkata Thunderbolt, and Mumbai Meteors are the eight teams who will compete in PVL 2023. There would be two foreign players on each team.
