For those who aren’t familiar with the situation, let us tell you, the Indian cricket team is gearing up ahead of their Border Gavaskar series against Australia.

The first test of the series is scheduled to be held on February 9, in Nagpur. The Indian team reached the city ahead of their game and checked in at the Radisson Blu Hotel.

As per the customs, the team was welcomed with a tilak across their head by the hotel staff. Now a video has emerged online that show-case indian cricketers Umran Malik and Mohammed Siraj, who refused to follow the welcomed customs.

The two were captured acknowledging the hotel staff but they gestured with their hands that they didn’t want the Tilak on their foreheads.

Meanwhile, the batting coach of the Indian team, Vikram Rathour, was also captured, refusing the Tilak.

Now the video of them refusing the Tilak has flooded the social media platform Twitter as netizens are sharing their thoughts and opinions on the matter.

The news of them refusing tilak came days after when a former cricketer and BJP’s Lok Sabha MP, Gautam Gambhir, uploaded a video of himself at the shrine of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya in Delhi.

He captioned the video as “Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya,” along with a heart emoji. Many people praised him while many went on to criticize and taunt him.

Let us remind you, last month, when cricketer Rishabh Pant, had a near death accident, many fellow players including Suryakumar Yadav, Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav went on to pray for their friend’s speedy recovery at the recently inaugurated Mahakal Temple in Ujjain.

They even participated in the early morning Bhasma Aarti which was offered to Lord Shiva, inside the temple.

The Indian squad who will participate in the match against Australia will includes players like Chateshwar Pujara, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharm, Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Axar Patel among many more.
