2023 Super Bowl LVII date and kick-off time
The 2023 Super Bowl LVII is set to take place on Sunday, February 12. The kick-off time for the much-awaited game is 4.30pm local time (MST) and 11.30pm (GMT) in the UK. As such, the game will probably finish during the early hours of Monday 13 February in the UK. The halftime show will most probably take place approximately around 1:30am. Nine-time Grammy award winner and singer Rihanna is set to headline the halftime show at the 2023 Super Bowl LVII. Rihanna will be making a highly anticipated return to the halftime show stage.
The famous singer last released an album back in 2016 and fans are eager for some new material to release. Rihanna recently performed her first Academy Award nod titled “Lift Me Up”, which features in the popular movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The 34-year-old singer has been busy in recent years focussing on her skincare and beauty range Fenty Beauty. Moreover, she recently gave birth to a baby boy with her partner A$AP Rocky back in May 2022. Rihanna recently revealed how her son was the inspiration behind taking up the Super Bowl gig.
She stated:
I feel like it was now or never. There’s this weird s*** that happens when you become a mum, you unleash or unlock other parts of your superpower,” she said.
Super Bowl halftime show other performers
Rapper Jay-Z, who is also the producer and founder of Roc Nation will help organise the upcoming performance for Rihanna. Jay-Z was responsible for first signing Rihanna back when she was just 16-years-old.
During the official announcement about her performance, Jay-Z stated:
a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn,the most prominent artists in history.”
However, it hasn’t been confirmed whether or not Jay-Z will make a cameo appearance. Fans of Rihanna are also curious about whether or not her partner A$AP Rocky will also join the halftime show.
With the halftime show usually lasting around 12 minutes, there are high chances for other famous star joining alongside her.
