According to the Washington Commanders, he passed away on Monday at his residence in Franklin, Tennessee. Speaking about his legacy, Pro Football Hall of Fame President Jim Porter said,

Who was Bobby Beathard?
Bobby Beathard was a well-known former American NFL player and executive. He has been in the news because he passed away recently.
His real name was Robert King Beathard Jr. He was born on January 24, 1937, in Zanesville, Ohio, U.S. He later moved to El Segundo, California. He also has a brother named Pete Beathard, a well-known quarterback at USC.
Bobby Beathard did his schooling at El Segundo High School. Later, he attended Louisiana State University, where he started playing football. Later, he attended El Camino Junior College and then went on to attend California Polytechnic State University.
His wife’s name is Christine, and he was married. He also has a number of kids, although nothing is known about them except Casey Beathard, a composer for country music, and Kurt Beathard, a football coach.
Both C. J. Beathard and his grandson Jeffery “Bobo” Beathard are well-known athletes. His other grandchild is a well-known singer-songwriter by the name of Tucker Beathard.

His career
Bobby Beathard spent more than 40 years working for the NFL. In 1966, he began his professional career working as a scout for the Kansas City Chiefs. He ultimately rose to the position of Director of Player Personnel with the Atlanta Falcons. He later took a job as general manager of the Miami Dolphins, where he contributed to the development of a team that won the Super Bowl in 1972 and 1973.
Later, he worked as the general manager of the Washington Redskins, where he contributed to the team’s Super Bowl victories in 1983, 1988, and 1992. 2018 saw the induction of Beathard into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
