Conor McGregor has described how he managed to stay on his bike after being run over by a car as the accident video goes viral
How did Conor react to the incident?
The former two-division champion alleges a car struck him from behind while he was riding his bike. On Instagram, The Notorious shared a photo of the accident’s aftermath. He added that he might have been dead except for his understanding of MMA. The motorist couldn’t see him because of the sun. He just drove straight through him at full speed. God was good as it wasn’t his time.

“Got a bang of a car just now from behind,” McGregor wrote on Instagram. “A sun trap, the driver couldn’t see me. Full speed straight thru me. Thank you, God, it wasn’t my time. Thank you wrestling and judo also. Having an awareness on the landing saved my life,” the fighter wrote on Instagram.

In a video, the driver can be heard saying he is completely sorry while the Irishman can be heard telling the driver he is “all right.” Next, McGregor is heard saying: “That’s awful. I might have passed away there.” He displays to the camera how his pants were torn while sliding on the ground. The driver, Nick, then provides McGregor with a ride home along with his bike.
Although McGregor (22-6) hasn’t competed since suffering a catastrophic leg injury during a defeat to Dustin Poirier in July 2021, he remains the most famous fighter in MMA and UFC history. He underwent arduous rehabilitation to get back in fighting shape, and he is currently negotiating a lucrative return with the UFC brass.
This week, McGregor claimed that the UFC had requested him to participate as a coach in the upcoming season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” He made no mention of accepting or rejecting the offer. 2015 saw McGregor serve as the TUF season’s head coach. Additionally this week, Spanish authorities informed that McGregor is being looked into for reportedly attacking a lady physically on his yacht last summer. The claims have been refuted by McGregor.
