Matt Barnes spits on David Patterson Jr ex-husband of to be wife Anansa Sims, video goes viral
Barnes came into contact with David Patterson Jr., his fiancée’s ex-husband, in a concourse at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara at around 3:40 PM, just before the playoff game started. In the video, Barnes can be seen spraying the man with spit before confronting him. The video shows the two exchanging words and engaging in a small amount of wrestling before, mercifully, they parted ways and went their separate ways.
Barnes claims Patterson Jr. was the aggressor in the altercation, according to an application for a temporary civil restraining order the NBA player filed in L.A. County court two days after the incident. Barnes claims in court records that Patterson Jr. hunted him down and confronted him violently. He claimed that the 37-year-old called him insults, made threats at him and worked the throng around them into a frenzy by constantly calling out his whole name.
Patterson Jr. eventually pushed him, and he was bound to push him off of him, Barnes continued. He did not want the argument to physically escalate further, he said. So, out of irritation from Patterson’s relentless repeated harassment, he spits in his direction in disdain. Police claim that they were summoned to the area to look into a battery accusation where the claimed victim identified Barnes, 42, as the culprit. They claimed that the situation is still being investigated.
The further story
Barnes has asked for a TRO, claiming Patterson Jr. has been tormenting him for months because Patterson is envious of his relationship with his ex-wife. He claimed that Patterson Jr. had threatened to shoot him with his rifle in 2022. He is requesting that Patterson Jr. be barred from approaching him within 100 yards.
Barnes, who spent three of his NBA seasons with the Golden State Warriors in the Bay Area, seemed to carry on with his Sunday night without more trouble. He appeared to be in a good mood as he sat in suite seats to watch the game. Barnes really appeared delighted with the conclusion of the 19-12 Niners victory, winning what sounded like a wager with a Dallas supporter who had a place in his box.
