Jackson Page defeated Barry Hawkins, the previous Shoot Out champion, while Adam Duffy eliminated Jimmy White.
By defeating Ng On Yee in the BetVictor Shoot Out’s opening round, Vladislav Gradinariâwho turned 14 just three months agoâbecame the youngest competitor to win a televised match in a ranking tournament. Shaun Murphy defeated defending champion Hossein Vafaei in the opening round. Prior to Murphy’s break of 28 tying the game in the final two minutes, both players squandered opportunities. The 18-year-old two-time Northern Ireland Amateur champion Robbie McGuigan defeated Hammad Miah with a break of 39.
