A video from a month ago of a paranormal investigator who believes he can talk to spirits aware of the crime in Idaho is circulating three weeks after the arrest of Bryan Kohberger in connection with the killings in Idaho
Several Internet users claim to have heard the name “Bryan” in the December 4 video. It’s hard to verify the veracity of what’s being heard because of the distorted voices used by the “spirits” in the YouTuber’s video.
The murder investigation led to the arrest of 28-year-old criminology student Bryan Kohberger on December 30. The accused murderer is being held responsible for the horrible killings of four college students: Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21. The next court date for Kohberger is scheduled for June 26.

Mekcee’s Paranormal True Crime, the YouTube channel where the video is hosted, claims to have made contact with the spirits of people who were involved in the Idaho triple murders. Kaylee, Ethan, and Xana are all mentioned by name in a creepy, whispering voice. The name Kaylee is spoken several times, and at one point what sounds like the name of her dog, Murphy, is mentioned as well.
The host of the film repeatedly asks the “spirits” whether they can “inform us who entered the residence at 1122 King Road” and whether or not it was a male or female.
In the middle of the video, the host says, “Can you tell us the name of the dog?” after claiming to have heard the word “dog.” The response he gets sounds like, “That’s my Murphy,” but is actually a distorted murmur with a sinister tone. The video has been seen more than 134,000 times and liked more than 4,000 times since it was placed online.
Users on Reddit have different take on the video
The video was just uncovered in a subreddit devoted to discussing Bryan Kohberger as the Idaho murder investigation unfolds. “This video amazed me. So much that was later revealed came to light! It was made over one month ago!”
A user said that this movie was uploaded on December 5 and features the phoney. And it was before Bryan was taken into custody. Though he had always dismissed these hokey paranormal movies in advance, this one actually spooked me a little. Other users, however, opined that they found the video “silly”.
