Microsoft users may obtain early access to Monster Hunter Rise today by using the common New Zealand technique, which will allow them to play the game before its official release date and time on Xbox Game Pass
Over five million copies and units of Monster Hunter Rise have been sold since its release in 2021 on PC and Nintendo Switch. It’s been called the most beginner-friendly entry in the iconic Capcom series while yet having the trademark MH vibe.
Although it debuts the following day for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Microsoft Windows gamers can fly to New Zealand a day early to begin their monster hunting adventure.
Monster Hunter Rise Xbox Game Pass New Zealand release date and time trick for game early access
On January 20 at 00:00 NZDT, Xbox Game Pass members in New Zealand will be able to play Monster Hunter Rise. This is equivalent to 9:00 am EST, 6:00 am PST, and 11:00 pm BST in the United States and the United Kingdom, respectively.

You may verify this by visiting the Microsoft shop on your Xbox and seeing MHR while switching your location and time zones to New Zealand (NZ), Pacific Standard Time (PST), Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), or Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
The game is available for pre-order, but according to Microsoft’s wave 1 blog post from January 2023, it will be included in Xbox Game Pass at no extra cost to subscribers. Even fans can get an immediate instal of it immediately.
How to start playing Monster Hunter Rise with early access?
Players in the United States and United Kingdom can get an early look at Monster Hunter Rise on Xbox on January 19 by taking advantage of the New Zealand release time gimmick.

The steps are as follows:
- Select Settings
- Click System
- Proceed to Language and Location
- Change Location to New Zealand
- Reset Xbox console
There is also a New Zealand cheat for the PlayStation, but it’s not really worth it. Gift cards from PC Game Supply would cost extra and require the creation of a new NZ Profile. Fans on Xbox with the above requirements will be able to start playing at 03:00 PST, 06:00 EDT, and 11:00 GMT on January 19.
