The footage showed the commentators ducking for cover under the table as a mob of fans chased after them, screaming and sprinting together. Since there were over 500 fans in the stadium at the time of the incident, pinpointing the perpetrator proved difficult.
A professor at the University of Delaware said that bullets were heard coming from both inside and outside the stadium. The condition of one man who was brought to the hospital is unknown at this time.
The Del City High School issued the following statement: “After the completion of the boy’s basketball game against Millwood High School, a fight occurred and gunshots were fired inside the field house. The Del City Police Department is onsite and investigating the incident. We have made the decision to shift to a virtual learning day on Wednesday, January 18. We will continue to update our families as more information becomes available,” per KOCO.

Students and their parents were understandably shaken up by the ordeal. The police had asked anyone who knew anything or had seen anything to come forward and report it because they had no more information about the incident.
