HBO’s The Last Of Us series has finally debuted after months of gently building anticipation, delivering an enthrallingly tense and realistic first episode, know the release date of episode 2

The first chapter concludes with Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, being escorted out of the Boston quarantine zone by smugglers Joel and Tess as part of a very risky but potentially lucrative job.
The Last Of Us TV series episode 2 release date, time, story and where to watch ep
On January 15, 2023, Sunday, HBO in the US debuted the first episode of The Last Of Us. A day later, it was broadcast around the world.
The episode’s prologue, titled When You’re Lost In The Darkness, took place in 2003 and followed Joel Miller and his daughter Sarah as they went about their busy lives in Austin, Texas, while the first indications of the cordyceps outbreak started to appear.
By the time the prologue ends, there has been full mayhem as residents try to evacuate the city and Joel and a wounded Sarah come upon a soldier who is under orders to murder them. While Sarah tragically gets shot and dies, Joel is miraculously saved by his brother Tommy.
Twenty years later, the fungal infection has nearly completely wiped out humanity. Those who have survived now live in quarantine areas under the rule of FEDRA (QZ).
The story begins with Joel, a seasoned smuggler who now resides in the Boston QZ with his companion Tess. He is trying to revenge on Robert, the con artist who conned them out of a vehicle battery.
Joel and Tess come upon the Fireflies, a resistance movement battling against the persecution of FEDRA while attempting to recapture the batteries. The two are to transport a 14-year-old girl named Ellie out of the QZ and into the Massachusetts State House, where she would be picked up by further Firefly soldiers, according to their Boston boss Marlene.
They slip out of the QZ at night with their new quarry in tow but run into a FEDRA soldier that Joel has previously dealt with. Even though Ellie professes to be immune, the encounter swiftly degenerates into chaos and it becomes apparent that she has been infected.
The group dives into a biological contamination area to get away from the rapidly approaching FEDRA patrol as a storm brews overhead.
A Preview Of The Last Of Us Season 2
On January 22, 2023, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, HBO will premiere Episode 2 of The Last Of Us in the US. A day later, on January 23, it will do the same in other countries.
The upcoming episode, Infected, is set to continue the scenario from the game’s following chapter. The three must travel across the wreckage of Boston to deliver Ellie to the Fireflies once the significance of her immunity becomes more clear.
After just getting a fleeting sight of the deadly Clicker variety in the first chapter, episode 2 promises a much closer encounter as Joel, Tess, and Ellie make their way through the crumbling remnants of the city, where potentially disastrous consequences lie in wait.
How Many Parts Are There In All?
There will be a total of nine episodes in The Last Of Us. Each chapter lasts between 46 and 85 minutes. Every fresh episode will release every week until the ninth and last episode on March 12, 2023.
