Francis Ngannou brief bio and family
Francis Ngannou had a rough upbringing, he was born in Cameroon, and spent most of his life in poverty. Ngannou was thrown into the workforce compelled by poverty. Moreover, he also had an abusive father and saw his parents get divorced when he was just six years old.
Following the divorce, Ngannou was sent off to live with his aunt, from whom he learned the truth about his father’s legal troubles. Ngannou eventually ran away to France, during which he was even arrested in Spain for crossing the border illegally.
After reaching Paris, Ngannou spent some time as a homeless man before trainer and coach Fernand Lopez took him in. Lopez trained and guided Ngannou who eventually made it to the UFC.
The 36-year-old always saw his family’s struggles as a constant source of motivation. In fact, Ngannou has often spoken about how he struggled to give his family the best life possible.

He first started of by fighting in local promotions like 100% Fight and SHC. Finally, in 2015 Ngannou made his UFC debut, where he knocked out Luis Henrique in the first round. Following his impressive debut, Ngannou only ever lost 2 fights throughout his UFC career.
During his UFC career, Francis beat the likes of fighters like Stipe Miocic, Alistair Overeem, Ciryl Gane, and many more. Ngannou has an incredible MMA record of 17-3-0.
