While Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill were scoring runs for India, Mohammed Siraj maintained his hot form in one-day international cricket and gave India a large lead with the ball to give India the victory.

Karunaratne was forced to walk out to bat in the middle after Sri Lanka’s score dropped to 37/5 within 9.3 overs at the hands of India. While this was going on, Siraj was fire with the ball, and when he got Karunratne facing him, the pacer attempted to get under the batter’s skin.

As Karunaratne attempted to sneak in a single on the third ball of the 12th over. He came dangerously close to losing his wicket. After that, Mohammed Siraj mumbled some words to himself. The following ball that was thrown by the pacer was a full-length delivery, which Karunaratne defended with a reasonable amount of vigour. The ball went straight to Siraj, who displayed excellent presence of mind by throwing the ball at the stumps and discovering that the batter was outside of his crease.
